Shirley Desai is a writer, producer, and the founder of SPICE (South Asian & Global Perspectives in Cinema & Entertainment). A visionary storyteller, Shirley specializes in coming-of-age narratives designed to entertain, inspire, and empower audiences worldwide.

Her current creative portfolio includes a magical adventure book series, The Next Santa, for children, slated for release in October 2026, alongside a compelling slate of feature-length screenplays. Operating at the intersection of Hollywood and Indian cinema, Shirley maintains bases in both Chicago and Hyderabad, where she collaborates with Guru Films to bring cross-cultural stories to life.

She is currently focused on scaling her production slate through strategic partnerships with investors, industry talent, and global distributors. She is also actively building new stories for animation and live action films.
